Mesa Arch, ein weltberuehmter Fotoplatz am Ostrand des Island in the Sky Nationalparks bietet einen wunderbaren Schauplatz fuer Sonnenaufgaenge mit Blick ueber den Colorado River zu den Manti La Sal Mountains im Hintergrund Island in the Sky (Teil des Canyonlands Nationalpark) ist eine weitläufige Hochebene (Mesa) die von Colorado und Green River eingeschlossen wird. Es gibt viele spektakuläre Aussichten auf den White Rim, eine Sandsteinabbruchkante rund 360 Meter unterhalb des Plateaus, und auf die Flussläufe, weitere 300 Meter unterhalb des White Rims. Canyonlands National Park is a U.S. National Park located in eastern Utah near the city of Moab and preserves a colorful landscape eroded into countless canyons, mesas and buttes by the Colorado River, the Green River, and their respective tributaries. The rivers divide the park into four districts: the Island in the Sky, the Needles, the Maze and the rivers themselves.
